ABSCURE HYDROCOLLOID DRESSING
Abscure Hydrocolloid with Pad is a flexible, self-adhesive wound dressing with a central absorbent pad that absorbs light to moderate exudate while maintaining a moist healing environment. It provides extra cushioning, protects the wound from water and bacteria, and supports faster healing. Suitable for comfortable wear and use under compression bandages.
FEATURES
Adhesive dressings that are not only waterproof but also semi-permeable to the passage of oxygen and water vapour to and from the wound site.
Maintains a moist wound-healing environment while preserving growth factors at the wound bed to support faster healing.
They can be placed over areas that are somewhat difficult to bandage. Because they are very thin, flexible and have an adhesive backing.
These dressings prevent the wound from desiccations as well as from contamination by bacteria.
Promote autolysis of necrotic tissue in the wound bed.
INDICATIONS
View the wound or site through the film and center the dressing over it. Don’t stretch the dressing during application.
Clean the wound with normal saline solution or prescribed cleanser.
For deep wounds, apply wound filler or packing material as indicated.
Peel the liner from the dressing to expose the adhesive surface.
The dressing should be at least 1” larger than the wound.
Smooth the dressing in place from the center outward.
Dry the tissue surrounding the wound.Make sure the skin is clean and dry.
